FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE
by The Cure
I don't care if Monday's blue,
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too.
Thursday, I don't care about you.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
Monday, you can fall apart.
Tuesday, Wednesday, break my heart.
Thursday doesn't even start.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
Saturday, wait,
And Sunday always comes too late,
But Friday never hesitate...
I don't care if Monday's black,
Tuesday, Wednesday, heart attack.
Thursday, never looking back.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
Monday, you can hold your head.
Tuesday, Wednesday, stay in bed.
Or Thursday, watch the walls instead.
It's Friday, I'm in love.
Saturday, wait,
And Sunday always comes too late,
But Friday, never hesitate...
Dressed up to the eyes,
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise,
Throwing out your frown,
And just smiling at the sound,
And as sleek as a shriek,
Spinning round and round.
Always take a big bite,
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night.
You can never get enough,
Enough of this stuff.
It's Friday,
I'm in love.
Bono dedico esta canción, City Of Blinding Lights a la ciudad de Nueva York.
City Of Blinding Lights
The more you see the less you know
The less you find out as you go
I knew much more then than I do now
Neon heart dayglo eyes
A city lit by fireflies
They’re advertising in the skies
For people like us
And I miss you when you’re not around
I’m getting ready to leave the ground….
Ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
In the city of blinding lights
Don’t look before you laugh
Look ugly in a photograph
Flash bulbs purple irises
The camera can’t see
I’ve seen you walk unafraid
I’ve seen you in the clothes you made
Can you see the beauty inside of me?
What happened to the beauty I had inside of me
And I miss you when you’re not around
I’m getting ready to leave the ground
Ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
In the city of blinding lights
Time… time
Won’t leave me as I am
But time won’t take the boy out of this man
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
In the city of blinding lights
The more you know the less you feel
Some pray for others steal
Blessings are not just for the ones who kneel… luckily
